In Chhattisgarh, security forces have gunned down three Maoists in Sukma district of Bastar region on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena confirmed the incident.
Following a specific input about the presence of Maoists, a team of District Force had launched an intensive search operation near Dantewada border.
The encounter took place in the forest of Muler
area.
The bodies of killed Maoists were recovered from the spot. Security forces also recovered a large number of weapons, including four rifles, one country-made pistol and a pipe bomb from the spot.
Meanwhile, three Maoists, including a female rebel, surrendered in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh.
These Maoists surrendered before IG, Bastar range, Vivekanand Sinha.
