Army has said that five Pakistan Army soldiers have been killed in retaliatory action by security forces in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control in Jammu region during the past couple of days. General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, Lt. Gen. Ranbir Singh said that every misadventure of Pakistani forces along the LoC is being responded befittingly.
He was talking to media persons after dedicating the Kalai Bridge to the Nation in the border district of Poonch today. Lt. Gen. Singh said, India Army is known for peace and always abides by its professional ethics but unprovoked ceasefire violations by
the Pakistan along the borderline can never be tolerated.
He termed 2018 as the unprecedentedly successful year against terrorists both at the borders and in the hinterland in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lt. Gen. Singh said, 250 terrorists have been neutralised, 54 terrorists have been captured alive while four terrorists have surrendered in the state last year. The Army Commander assured that the border residents of their security and said that modern technical gadgets are being deployed to detect the IEDs planted by the terrorists.
