Seven  flights from Muscat , Doha, Riyadh, Bahrain and Dubai from the Gulf under the Vande Bharat Mission will fly back more than a thousand distressed and stranded Indians back to the country today.

Doha has a scheduled flight to Bengaluru , Bahrain to Thiruvanathapuram , Muscat to Kannur and Riyadh to Hyderabad via Vijayawada. Dubai has three flights . One to Kochi,  one to Hyderabad and one to Srinagar. This is the first flight from any of the Gulf countries



to Jammu and Kashmir.

The Dubai Srinagar flight is expected to take back at least 150 Indians, mostly elderly, those facing medical emergencies, pregnant women and people who have lost their jobs. Priority on all these flights are being given to distressed blue collar workers, medical emergency cases, pregnant women, stranded tourists and the elderly. Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the flight.
