Seven killed in road accident in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai

In Tamil Nadu, seven people were killed in a road mishap and many were injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by a bus at Chengam near Tiruvannamalai.

The mishap occurred when eleven persons belonging to Assam were on their way to Bengaluru when their vehicle was  hit by a state-owned bus heading towards Tiruvannamalai. Five



of them died on the spot.

Those who were injured were immediately taken to the Chengam and Tiruvannamalai Government hospitals. Two of them, who were severely wounded, succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
