Several parts of Telangana receive heavy rain

Several parts of Telangana received heavy rain and thundershower during the past 24 hours after a low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal. 

Koida in Khammam district received 17.6 centimetres of rainfall while Ibrahimpatnam in Ranga Reddy district received 7.2 centimetres during the past 24 hours.

Hyderabad continued to receive monsoon showers till late in the evening.



Many areas in the state capital witnessed sudden downpour along with lightening caused water logging at several places. Emergency teams of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation had to work hard to clear the loggings till late in the night.

Meanwhile, the Met officials have said several parts in Telangana is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains for the next four days.
