Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday assumed charge of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi on Tuesday. On the occasion, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong development-oriented governance has inspired a wave of progress across the country, and it is imperative to continue building on this foundation. The Union Minister said that the government is committed to creating new opportunities for the youth and working relentlessly for the welfare of all citizens.
Pralhad Joshi also took charge as Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy in addition to his portfolio of Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, at Atal Akshaya Urja Bhawan. Shripad Yesso Naik assumed charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh also took charge of
the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Addressing the media after taking charge, the Minister said his focus will be on removing any roadblock that may appear in implementation of this vision.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat took charge as Union Minister of Tourism. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister expressed his gratitude that he has been given the responsibility of globally showcasing Bharat and inviting the world to our country.
Dr. Virendra Kumar assumed charge as Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. Raksha Nikhil Khadse also assumed charge as Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports . Dr. Sukanta Majumdar took the charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Development of North East Region.
