Pakistan forces continued heavy shelling along the International Border in Jammu region for the third consecutive day today. The BSF is also retaliating effectively inflicting heavy damages to Pakistani troops across the border.
Around 40 thousand people in RS Pura, Arnia, Ramgarh, Samba and Hiranagar sectors of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts shifted to safer places.
Most of the people from the affected border areas have moved to the residences of their relatives and
friends and relief camps set up by the administration. Very unprecedently the Pakistan's Rangers have been simultaneously targetting civilian population and forward posts of the BSF.Pakistani Rangers have been using both 82mm and 120mm mortar shells to hit the civilian areas. Some of the mortar shells are even crossing the aerial range of three kilometres inside.More civilian injuries are feared as over 20 people were injured in the shelling in the area only yesterday.
