NCP leader Baba Siddique's shooters were in contact with Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, before they killed the former Maharashtra minister, police have claimed.

The accused were using multiple Snapchat accounts to remain in touch with Anmol even as the motive behind the murder remains unknown. Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office while he was bursting firecrackers on the occasion of Dussehra.

Anmol was in contact with the accused from Canada and America and four mobile phones have been recovered from the accused,

the police stated.

"The accused were in touch with each other through Snapchat and after receiving the instruction message, they would delete it immediately. Similarly, when the Snapchat of the arrested accused was closely examined, it was found that the shooters and Pravin Lonkar were directly in touch with Anmol Bishnoi," the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police said in a statement.

Lonkar allegedly provided logistical support to the three assailants who shot at Siddique. Two of the three shooters have been arrested while one of the accused still remains at large.
