In Jammu and Kashmir, the Annual Shree Machail Yatra 2024 in Kishtwar district has seen a remarkable turnout, with over 1 lakh pilgrims participating in the revered pilgrimage.

This year’s yatra has been a resounding success, with devotees expressing immense satisfaction over the comprehensive arrangements made by the Kishtwar administration. The district administration, along with local authorities, has ensured that every aspect of the pilgrimage is meticulously organized. The enhanced facilities have been widely appreciated by the devotees. The pilgrims have commended the introduction of new facilities such as the extension of the road up to Chashoti, which has significantly reduced the trekking distance, making the journey less arduous.

The availability of 4G connectivity, helicopter services, and online registration has further streamlined the pilgrimage, allowing devotees to focus on

their spiritual journey with ease. The district administration has also prioritized the comfort and well-being of the pilgrims by ensuring clean and hygienic accommodation facilities. The administration has also ensured the availability of clean bathrooms, food, and other essential services. In addition, the Department of Ayush, Kishtwar, has set up a medical camp at Machail, providing patient care to the pilgrims.

This initiative has been crucial in addressing the healthcare needs of the devotees during the Yatra. As the footfall is expected to exceed 3 lakh this year, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav urged the pilgrims to carry their Aadhar cards and follow the new timing guidelines for a smooth and safe pilgrimage.
