Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur visited Nathula Pass and Baba Mandir. At Nathula, he was warmly welcomed by General Officer Commanding Amit Kapthiyal and other army officers.

During his visit, the Governor interacted with the stationed army personnel, expressing pride in their dedication and service under extreme conditions.

He praised the soldiers for their commitment, which ensures the nation’s safety and peace, and



highlighted their representation of the entire nation, particularly referencing the historic 1967 victory at Nathula.

As a gesture of respect, he presented the national flag to the soldiers as a memento.

The Governor also paid homage at the Sherathang War Memorial and visited Baba Mandir, where he offered prayers for the peace and prosperity of Sikkim’s people.
