Situation in national capital completely normal, peaceful: Delhi Police

Delhi Police has said that the situation in the national capital is completely normal and peaceful. Delhi Police PRO MS Randhawa appealed people not to pay heed to rumours. He said, strict actions will be taken against those spreading rumours.

Police yesterday apprehended two suspects for rumour-mongering and they were taken to a police station for further



action.  

Mr Randhawa said, Delhi Police has registered 254 FIRs and arrested or detained 903 persons in connection with the violence so far.

Forty-one of the cases were registered under the Arms Act. He said, no untoward incident has been reported from the northeast district over the past four days.
