Situation is under control in Sambhal district

The situation in violence-hit Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh is under control. 25 people including two women have been taken into custody in relation to the violence which claimed three lives yesterday.

7 FIRs have been filed in the Sambhal violence case and around 700 to 800 people are named.  This includes the MP of Sambhal Ziyaur Rahman and Sohail Iqbal son of MLA Iqbal Mehmood.

     

Three people died in the violence which erupted after survey of Shahi mosque. Last rites of the



deceased have been performed by family members yesterday night only.

Giving details about the action by police and administration the SP of Sambhal Krishna Kumar said that search operation continued after the violence and many objectionable materials have been found from the houses including some country-made pistol.

He said that some juveniles have also been arrested in relation to the violence. police is scanning the video of drone camera to identify the culprits.
