Jeddah: On Tuesday night, a bus carrying Indian Umrah pilgrims to Madinah collided with a trailer in front of it, injuring 20 others and killing six of them. The tragic incident occurred close to Madinah, 150 kilometers away.
The six people who died were traveling from Makkah to Madinah. They were all from the Gulbarga region of Karnataka.
Shafid Hussain Sullad, Bebejan Sullad, Siraj Begum Sullaid, and Shifa Sullaid were all from the Raichur district. Rehana Begum and
Mohammed Zainuddin were both from the Gulbarga district.
Civil defense, emergency medical ambulance, and Saudi Crescent teams shifted all of the injured to Madinah city hospitals. The families of the deceased are also in touch with officials from the Indian Consulate.
According to Naser Qurshid of Gulbarga Welfare Society, volunteers and a prominent Karnataka NRI organization in Saudi Arabia arrived in Madinah to assist pilgrims and complete legal paperwork for their burial.
