Early winter has set in Kashmir Valley due to a western disturbance that remained active for four days in Jammu and Kashmir towards the end of October.
People have started protecting themselves from the cold weather by wearing woollen clothes.
Some of the tourists who come to the valley during this period especially to see the snow in the ski resort of Gulmarg are enjoying the not-so-harsh weather here.
“It is a great visual relief to see snow covered mountains all around when you land in Gulmarg. One should not miss this thrill,” said 32-year-old tourist, Meenakshi.
