Son of IAS couple mysteriously found dead in Mumbai

In a shocking incident, the son of a top IAS couple from Maharashtra has been founded dead under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday.

The deceased, Manmath Mhaiskar (22), the son of Milind Mhaiskar and Manisha Mhaiskar, was found dead outside the Dariya Mahal building at Neapen Sea Road.

The Mhaiskars are residents of nearby Marine Drive area.

The deceased had injuries on his head.

The Mumbai Police has registered a case and probing from all



possible angles - suicide, murder or accident. "Investigations were in progress," Deputy Commissioner of Police Rashmi Karandikar, the Mumbai Police spokesperson said. 

Milind Mhaiskar is the Vice President and CEO of MHADA whereas Manisha Mhaiskar is the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department. The couple is said to be close to Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The body has been sent to the government-run Sir JJ Hospital for post-mortem.
