Rashtrapati Bhavan has dismissed claims by Congress leaders suggesting that President Droupadi Murmu appeared tired during her recent address to Parliament. The President’s Secretariat issued a statement rejecting these remarks, asserting that she was energetic and focused, particularly while addressing issues concerning marginalised communities.

The statement further described the allegations as unfortunate, emphasising that the President delivered her speech with full commitment and vigour. Rashtrapati Bhavan reiterated that the President remains deeply engaged in advocating for the welfare of the underprivileged and continues to perform her constitutional duties with dedication.

The response comes amid political controversy, with the Congress party questioning the President’s demeanour during her address.

However, the official clarification aims to put an end to speculations surrounding her speech.

The statement emphasised that President Murmu remains deeply committed to advocating for marginalised communities, women, and farmers, and speaking for them can never be tiring for her.

Additionally, Rashtrapati Bhavan suggested that the leaders making these claims may have misinterpreted linguistic nuances in Indian languages such as Hindi, leading to an incorrect impression.

Terming the remarks unfortunate and entirely avoidable, the President’s office stated that such comments hurt the dignity of the high office and should be condemned. The response comes amid political debate over the President's address, with Rashtrapati Bhavan urging for greater respect and understanding in public discourse.
