Sooraj Pancholi to be charged on March 24

A special women’s court on Tuesday fixed the date of March 24 for framing charges against actor Sooraj Pancholi, who is accused of abetting the suicide of his former girlfriend and actress Jiah Khan’s suicide.The special Judge SKS Razvi while adjourning the hearing, clarified that this would be the last adjournment in this case.

The case was fixed for framing of charges on Tuesday, however, advocate Dinesh Tiwari, the special public prosecutor who appeared for the Central Bureau



of Investigation (CBI) sought adjournment in the case. Initially, Tiwari did not appeared before the special court and instead sent some other CBI counsel. However, the court refused to hear the arguments and insisted that only a notified counsel should appear in this case.

During the course of hearing, the advocate for Rabia Khan informed the court that his client had filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court challenging the decision of the Bombay High Court.
