The Southern Railway has announced four daily special train services in Tamil Nadu from 7th of this month. Reservations for these fully reserved trains will start tomorrow.
The special services will be operated from the state capital, Chennai to Madurai, Karaikkudi and Tuticorin. There will be two services to Madurai, including one night train.
Passengers have been advised by the Southern Railway to reach the
station atleast one and a half hours prior to scheduled departure time. This is to ensure that all passengers are thermally screened and that only asymptomatic persons are allowed to travel.
The Raiways have also asked passengers to download Aarogya Setu app and to ensure that maintenance of social distancing and wearing of face masks are followed throughout the journey.
