Southwest Monsoon reaches Gujarat

Southwest Monsoon reached Gujarat on Wednesday. Usually, it hits the state around 15th or 16th of June. The MeT department said, monsoon has advanced over parts of coastal Saurashtra, south Gujarat and east central Gujarat region.

Light to moderate rain was recorded in parts of



Ahmedabad, Kheda, Bharuch, Vadodara and Surat districts.

The MeT Office said, good rain is expected in Saurashtra as well as southern and northern Gujarat during the next 24 hours. It said, Monsoon will take some time to cover the entire state and reach Kutch region.
