A week-long Special Public Outreach programme of the Central Government culminated on Jan 24 across Jammu and Kashmir.

The programme which had started on the 18th of this month saw 36 Union ministers visit 60 locations in both the divisions of Jammu and Kashmir to disseminate information about various developmental projects and welfare initiatives of the Central Government.

During the programme, approximately 300 developmental projects were inaugurated related to roads, electricity, playfields, Tehsil Offices, water supply schemes and a host of others.

This was the first time in the history of Jammu



and Kashmir that such a large number of Union Ministers visited the Union Territory with a developmental mission in hand.

Throughout the week, the ministers held public interactions with common people and elected representatives of Panchayats and Block Development Councils and Officers of the administration to seek their feedback on various issues and projects.

All the ministers who were a part of this programme reiterated that the government is committed to the fast-paced development of J&K to apace it with the rest of India with the active participation of people on the ground.
