Due to the partial lunar eclipse on Saturday, Srisailam Temple will be shut on the day 5 pm. The temple will reopen on Sunday after rituals such as Shuddhi and Samprokshana at 5 am.
Following this, devotees can participate in Pratah Kaala pujas, darshans, Arjita Abhishekams and other Arjita Sevas from 7 am. Sunday, temple authorities said.
They said Sarva Darshan will be available on Saturday until 3:30 pm. Garbhalaya Arjita Abhishekam will be performed until 12:30 pm. Samuhika Abhishekams for the day will be limited to the morning.
Rs 500 Sparsha Darshan of the Swamy will be available only in the
morning.
Following the eclipse at 3:30 pm, the temple will conduct Mangala Vaadyas, Susandhya, evening pujas, and Mahamangala Aartis. Temple gates will then be closed at 5 p.m. Doors of Upalayas like Sakshi Ganapathi, Hathakeshwaram – Paladhara, Panchadhara, and Shikhareswaram will also be closed from 5 pm onwards.
There will be no Nityakalyanam of the main deities on the day.
Distribution of Annaprasadam to devotees on Saturday will be from 10 a.m. to noon due to the eclipse. There will be no distribution of food thereafter on the day, officials added.
