State BJP President K Surendran Files Nomination Papers From Wayanad Lok Sabha Constituency

In Kerala,  State BJP President K Surendran filed his nomination papers from the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency yesterday.

 

Mr. Surendran, who arrived at the District Collector’s office to file his papers was accompanied by BJP leader Smriti Irani, Adivasi Gotra Mahasabha leader C K Janu and other local leaders of the Party.

The BJP  State President staged a roadshow in Kalpetta town, where several hundreds of his supporters participated waving



party flags and placards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Mr. Surendran is pitted against two formidable rivals —  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of the UDF and CPI leader Annie Raja of the LDF in the electoral battle for the Wayanad seat.

Besides Surendran,  the NDA candidate in Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency, Suresh Gopi also filed his nomination papers on Thursday.
