Information and Broadcasting Ministry is organising the 28th State Information Ministers Conference today at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The two day conference will promote partnership in the dissemination process between Centre and States, enabling effective communication to the people and on sector specific collaboration in the Films, Broadcasting and Information sector. Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu will chair the conference tomorrow.
An official release said, being organized after 2009, the conference will deliberate on key
policy issues in the Films and Broadcasting sector and new key initiatives undertaken in the information domain. Some of the issues to be discussed with States are Facilitation of Film shooting in the country both Domestic and Foreign, National Film Heritage Mission, Most Film Friendly State award and screening of Public Service Awareness Films.
The heads of various Media Units and senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with Senior officials from the States and UTs shall participate in the discussions.
