New Delhi: Minister of State for Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi on Monday said that the strength of the country lies in the younger generation. Speaking at the Innovate For Equality Conference cum Exhibition marking World Children's Day in New Delhi, she said the country's cultural system teaches everyone that age is not a limit when it comes to research and innovation. 

She further added equal participation of young students is essential for development in the field of science and technology. The minister said that finding scientific solutions to various problems and promoting ease of living will contribute immensely to the development of the country.
 
Mrs. Lekhi said that science and technology are the way forward to realize



Prime Narendra Modi's vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. She said that all the stakeholders including the researchers, innovators, government and young minds need to come together for the efficient running of the system.
 
The minister engaged in a roundtable discussion with the young innovators from across India who participated in the event. Auto sanitization robots, a trampoline that generates electricity, smart helmets, and smart shoes for blind persons were some of the key innovations that were put on display at the exhibition.
 
The conference cum exhibition was organized under the aegis of Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts and UNICEF India.
