Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said the 'surgical strikes' conducted by the Army across the Line of Control last year sent a strong message to Pakistan.
Speaking in Mumbai on the Modi government's completion of three years in office, he said, when BJP came to power in May 2014, the party invited heads of all neighbouring countries (to the swearing-in ceremony) as they wanted to give a message of peace.
But Pakistan continued to create problems. He added that surgical strikes gave the message that India can not only kill on this side of the
border but now can also cross the border and kill.He further informed Indian Army showed white flag to hold talks on 16 occasions and not once Pakistani army acknowledged it.
The Home Minister later said he was ‘ready for talks with everyone’ to resolve the Kashmir issue, and will not put any conditions for the purpose.
He added that his government is working on a permanent integrated solution which will unfold gradually. Mr. Singh said his government will not become hurdle in the future of Jammu and Kashmir.
