Director General of J&K Police, Dilbag Singh yesterday said that this year infiltration has been lower than in past years. Talking to media persons on the sidelines of a function in Kathua yesterday, Dilbagh Singh said our border security grid is working strongly and security forces and Army will thwart any infiltration attempt from across the border.
DGP said Pakistan is sending drugs to harm youth in India and police have seized a large quantity of drugs coming from across the border. He said illegal smuggling of drugs will be dealt with strictly.
He said the drive against anti-national elements
and those who have raised big buildings and other assets while involved in militancy will continue and all such structures and assets will be demolished.
Earlier, DGP Singh inaugurated the 11th Police Martyrs Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2022 at Sports Stadium Kathua.
He along with other dignitaries paid rich tributes to Police Martyrs and reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir Police will not forget the sacrifices of martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. As many as 16 teams drawn from North India are participating in the championship.
