Sushma asks Indian envoy to initiate action to release 29 Telangana migrant

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has asked the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Javed, to initiate action for release of 29 migrant workers from Telangana. 

They are allegedly held in captivity in Saudi Arabia for the last 12 days reportedly without food or basic amenities. In a



tweet last night, the Minister asked the Ambassador to send a report to her and Mr. K T Rama Rao, NRI Affairs Minister of Telangana. 

The intervention from Ms Swaraj came in response to a letter written to her by Mr Rao in which he asked her to address the issue with the host country.
