Minister Sushma Swaraj is likely to raise the issue of China blocking India’s
bid to ban JeM chief Masood Azhar with the Chinese leadership, when she meets
her counterpart Wang Yi in Moscow on April 18.
Last week, China
stopped UN sanctions committee from designating Azhar as terrorist, maintaining
that
the case “did not meet the requirements” of the security council.
While foreign secretary S Jaishankar said the action by China at the UN was raised at a “fairly high level”, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Thursday said, India was in constant touch with China on this issue.
