Suspense over new Karnataka CM deepens

The efforts are on to elect the new Chief Minister of Karnataka by the Congress party, as senior leaders Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar have staked their claim to the post. The Party has secured an absolute majority in the Assembly Election held on the 10th of this month and the Government formation process is in progress. Bengaluru had unanimously authorized the Party President Mallikarjun Kharge to take a decision on its leader.

One of the claimants for the Chief Minister's post Siddaramaiah has been camping in New Delhi since yesterday. Supporters of Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar are demanding the Chief Ministership for their leaders.
