Suspicious cases of bird flu have been reported in two more districts in Rajasthan yesterday. Cases of Bird deaths due to suspicious bird flu have been reported in eight districts of the state so far.
The death of two crows has been reported in Dausa district while crow death reports have been reported from four places in Bikaner. Cases of death of crows due to bird flu have been confirmed in Jhalawar district, while samples from Kota, Baran, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pali, Dausa and Bikaner have been sent for
investigation.
Principal Secretary of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department, Kunji lal Meena said that advisory has been issued by the department to the poultry farm owners.
Meanwhile, Governor Kalraj Mishra yesterday also sought information from Agriculture Minister Lal Chand Kataria regarding the status of bird flu and insisted on effective action. Officials of the Animal Husbandry Department said that it is a H5N8 strain and it is low pathogenic and it is expected to be controlled soon.
