External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has appealed to the Indian workers, who have lost their jobs in Saudi Arabia, to file their claims for unpaid dues with their employers and come back home soon.
In a series of tweets last night, she said, the government will bear the cost of their return. Mrs Swaraj said, the dues of these workers will also be paid when Saudi Government will settle with the Companies which have closed down. The

minister said, the settlement of claims will take time and there was no point in waiting in Saudi Arabia indefinitely.
Thousands of Indian workers have lost their jobs due to slowdown in Saudi economy, triggered by low oil prices and cut in spending by the government.
The Indian government had requested the Saudi authorities to give the unemployed Indian workers exit visas without No-Objection Certificate from employers.
