Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi's Chief Minister, has made a significant claim. He stated that Delhi Police would now question his elderly and sick parents. Taking to the social media platform X, he asserted, "Tomorrow, Delhi Police will question my elderly and sick parents." This move comes amid the alleged assault case involving Swati Maliwal. The police aim to record statements from all individuals present at the house when the incident occurred.
Sources from the Delhi Police revealed that Swati Maliwal, in her statements, mentioned meeting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, and his
parents before returning to the drawing room during her visit to the CM's house. For the past two days, a female Investigation Officer (IO) from the Delhi Police has been attempting to contact the family members to record their statements. The IO has requested a suitable time from the family members for this purpose.
According to sources, Delhi Police intended to question Sunita Kejriwal, Arvind Kejriwal's wife, along with his parents. A female officer has requested a meeting with all three to record their statements, but as of now, no time has been provided. If they fail to visit the police station, officers plan to conduct inquiries at their residence.
