'Tainted' Kerala minister Thomas Chandy resigns

Kerala Transport Minister Thomas Chandy resigns amid the allegations of corruption.

He is accused of grabbing farmland marked for paddy cultivation. A government official in his report had alleged that the

land in question was taken over by a resort owned by the minister for laying road.

NCP state president TP Peethambaran has handed over Chandy's resignation to Chief minister Pinayari Vijayan
