Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa hospitalised

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was admitted to a private hospital here after she complained of "fever and dehydration".

The 68-year-old AIADMK chief was taken to Apollo Hospitals here late last night and her condition is stated to be "stable" now, the hospital said, adding she is "under observation".




style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">"The honourable chief minister of Tamil Nadu was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai with fever and dehydration," the hospital's Chief Operating Officer Subbiah Viswanathan said in a release circulated to media by the state government in the wee hours today.

He said the chief minister's condition is now stable and under observation.
