Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said the state remains a haven of peace, which has helped it to become the preferred investment destination. He wound up his two-day tour of the Delta districts last evening.
Talking to reporters at Trichy while being on his way back to the state capital, Mr Stalin said the
opposition charges of deterioration of law and order are political statements.
He said the extensive desilting works of the canals in the Delta region which he has inspected will result in increased irrigation coverage and enhanced areas of cultivation.
