Telugu Desam has emerged victorious in Kakinada Corporation Elections. Dominating right from the beginning of the counting of votes, the ruling TDP has won in 32 wards with opposition YSRCP bagging just 10 wards. TDP's ally BJP managed to win three wards and independent won three.
It is after 30 years, TDP has bagged Kakinada Corporation and the
second time TDP winning the elections in 116 years. TDP in alliance with BJP has won 35 seats. This win, followed by Nandyal by-poll win, is a big boost for ruling party.
TDP activists are celebrating the party victory and the leaders credited the victory to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's development activities in Kakinada.
