The Lok Sabha on Tuesday witnessed ruckus as the ruling BJP's ally - the Telugu Desam Party - resorted to noisy protests against the "injustice" meted out to Andhra Pradesh in the Union Budget 2018-19.
TDP MPs trooped into the Well of the Lok Sabha and waved placards, asking the BJP-led government to abide by the "alliance dharma" and keep the promises it made earlier to Andhra Pradesh.
MPs of the YSR Congress Party, the Opposition in the TDP-ruled Andhra Pradesh, also came to the
Well and joined the noisy protests against the Union Budget.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the Lok Sabha twice for brief periods of time, but continued with the proceedings of the House despite protests by TDP and YSRCP MPs.
The TDP MPs rose to protest against the Union Budget shortly after the House met for the day at 11.00 am.
As the Speaker did not allow them to speak, they trooped into the Well of the House. YSRCP MPs also came to the well.
