Tehsildars authorised to issue certificate of residence to people residing in Jammu for more than one year

Jammu and Kashmir authorities issued an order to authorise tehsildars to issue certificate of residence to those residing in the Jammu district for more than one year. This will facilitate their entry in the ongoing special summary revision of electoral rolls.

Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Avny Lavasa passed the directive to remove the difficulties faced by the residents in registration due to non-availability of certain documents. The Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls started in J&K from 15 September this year.
