The Telangana government has released Rs 179,71,07,000 out of 717,24,75,000 sanctioned for Minority Welfare as the first instalment of the 2016-17 budget. This would help minority institutions in implementing various schemes. However release of budget is said to be unsatisfactory as further Rs. 5379368000 has to be released.
As per government orders 75 lakhs have been released for CEDM, 75 lakh for Daeratul Ma’arif, 1.75 Cr has been released for Telangana Christian Minority Finance Corporation, 75 lakh were released for Telangana Hajj Committee. 2.08 Cr and 23.12 lakhs were released for Telangana Minority Finance



Corporation and Christian Finance Corporation respectively. 5.75 Cr. were released for Urdu Academy schemes and construction of Urdu Ghar and Function Halls. 3.75 Cr were released for Iftar parties and Christian festival. 1.75 Cr was released for Minorities Study Circle. 2.5 Cr were released for repair of Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid. 37.5 Cr were released for bank-linked subsidy-cum-loan scheme of Minority Finance Corporation. 50 lakh were released for Survey Commissioner Waqf , 87.50 Cr for Telangana State Minorities Residential Schools and Hostels and 3 Cr were released for Training Employment Scheme for Minorities.
