As many as 48 personnel, including 28 police personnel, tested positive for Covid-19 during the rapid antigen tests conducted at Raj Bhavan here on Saturday and Sunday. Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan and her family members tested negative. In all, 395 tests were conducted out of which, 347 samples came negative.
The 28 police personnel, who tested positive, were sent to isolation immediately. This apart, 10 Raj Bhavan staff and 10 members of their families who also tested positive, were admitted in Government Ayurvedic Hospital, SR Nagar for further
treatment.
The Governor not only arranged tests for the staff and police personnel, but also volunteered herself for getting tested, Raj Bhavan said. She appealed to the people in red zones or with a contact history to get them tested at the earliest to contain further spread.
The Governor further said that early diagnosis not only protects individual but also others. She urged that one should not hesitate from getting Covid test done and should motivate others to follow the 4Ts- Test, Trace,Treat and Teach, a statement from the Raj Bhavan said here on Sunday.
