Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who held a high level review meeting with senior ministers and officials, decided to scrap Eamcet-2 and conduct Eamcet 3, following submission of a report by the state CID confirming leakage of question papers of Eamcet-2 Medical Stream test.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office here on Friday, the government will make an official announcement in this regard
on Monday. It is believed that the test will be conducted by the end of August and results will be declared in September in time for first year MBBS and BDS classes.
The chief minister, who also sought legal opinion on debarring the tainted rankers and allowing the others for counseling, finally dropped the idea fearing legal hurdles. Efforts are on to apprehend the kingpins of the question paper leak.
