HYDERABAD: Three men, including a ruling TDP leader, returning after an IPL match on Sunday to Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh were killed after their car rammed into a stationary lorry in Suryapet district of Telangana State.
According to police, the trio was returning to their native place when the driver of the car rammed into a stationary lorry at Gumpula village. Two other passengers suffered injuries and it is
suspected that the driver dozed off, leading to the accident.
Police found tickets of Sunday night’s IPL match and also the jerseys of the local team in the car. Srikanth, MPTC from Singarayakonda in Prakasam district was a ruling TDP leader in Andhra Pradesh.
Police said the person driving the car vehicle might have dozed off the wheel and rammed the vehicle into the lorry parked
on the roadside.
