Tension in Nagaur district of Rajasthan

Ahead of the last rites of Anandpal, a gangster who was killed last month, four Rajasthan Roadways buses were set on fire in Kuchaman city of Nagaur district. The city has been tense since last month and internet services are also suspended.

As per the investigating officer buses were parked at the bus stand and some people set it ablaze. However no casualties have been reported so far. "We are searching the accused and we will be able to investigate more," police investigating officer Hukma Ram



said.

Since June 24 Nagaur district has been tense after gangster Anandpal Singh was killed in a police encounter. He was gunned down by the police in Malasar village in Churu. 

The Rajput community are demanding a CBI inquiry into the encounter and permission for Anandpal Singh's brothers, who are in judicial custody, to attend the funeral. His body is yet to cremate the body and is kept in a deep freezer at his house where elaborate security arrangement was made.
