Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that terrorism would be given a befitting reply and no foreign power would be left to succeed against the self esteem of the mother land like Maharana Pratap who fought for the self respect and sacrificed his life for the honour of the country.
He was addressing a well-attended gathering at Kalayat in Haryana during a state-level function organised to mark the 477th birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap yesterday. Mr Rajnath Singh said that India always tried to have good relations with its neighbor countries but Pakistan is used to follow his bad designs.
He questioned the historians for not referring to legendary king
Maharana Pratap as a great warrior and asked them to give a serious thought to his contributions. Asking for rectifying the mistake,he said that Maharana Pratap has not been given his due in history. Union Minister said that Maharana inspired the youth of the country to raise their voice against the British.
He asked people not to bound Maharana in caste and religion as he was a great warrior of the country. Even foreigners had acknowledged him as a great warrior. He said the history of Maharana Partap should be taught to students and asked historians to work on it. He also called the youth to follow in the footsteps of Maharana Pratap for making India a great country.
