In Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists attacked an Army camp at Langate in Handwara region this morning. An Army official said, the terrorists opened firing outside the 30 Rashtriya Rifles camp at around 5 AM which was retaliated by the security forces. The official said, the firing continued for 10 to 15 minutes. The troops were alert and the attack was foiled.
Later, during the search operation, the militants again opened fire at the forces. The official said, additional
forces have been rushed to the area and the operation is on. No casualties have been reported, so far.
The attack comes days after terrorists attacked a BSF and adjoining camps in Baramulla district. One BSF jawan was killed in the attack. The attack also comes after the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes and destroyed seven terror launch pads across the LoC last week. Last month, terrorists had attacked the army brigade headquarters at Uri, killing 19 soldiers.
