Terrorists attack police post in Udhampur in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces killed a militant, while a woman lost her life and two other civilians were injured in Kud area of Udhampur district this evening. According to police sources, a terrorist attacked the police post on Jammu-Srinagar national highway. 

The militant attacked on police personnel when the bus, he was traveling in, was stopped for the



routine checking on a security naka. The bus was on the way from Srinagar to Jammu. The killed woman and injured civilians were the bus passengers.

An AK 47,a pistol and ammunition have been recovered from the slain militant's possession. In the wake of terror attack, high alert has been sounded in adjoining Katra and other sensitive areas along the highway.
