In Bihar, thousands of people have been displaced due to flood   in Bhagalpur, Munger, West Champaran, Khagaria, Katihar and some other districts. Water level  of Ganga, Gandak, Koshi, Mahananda and other rivers have crossed danger mark at several places due to incessant rainfall in their catchment areas. 

The Met Department has issued Yellow alert for heavy rainfall in the western and Eastern parts of the state. Alert has been sounded in Saran, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Bhagalpur and Banka districts for next 24 hours. In



flood affected areas of Bhagalpur, Katihar and Kishanganj districts several rural roads, protective embankments, houses have been damaged due to deluge. 

In flood affected regions crisis of fodder prevails before farmers for their livestocks. In West Champaran district roads are submerged in Bagaha, Thakraha, Madhubani, Piprasi blocks. Countrymade boats are only main conveyance of mode in flood affected regions. Flood-displaced people have taken shelter at higher places.
