Mumbai: Three coaches of Dadar-Puducherry Express (11005) derailed near Matunga station in Mumbai on Friday. No injury to anyone has been reported so far. 

The incident took place around 9.45 pm, soon after the train departed for Puducherry from the Dadar terminus here.

The Central Railway informed that there has been a minor collision between Chalukya Express and Mumbai CSMT Gadag Express, near Matunga station. GRP Mumbai and senior railway officers are currently on the spot. "We are evacuating the passengers. No injuries reported yet. One bogie derailed. Suburban



trains are running," it said.
Dadar-Puducherry Express and CSMT-Gadag Express have been cancelled.

The GRP Mumbai informed that in coordination with the railway administration, its senior officials are arranging for assistance for stranded passengers. "Passengers are requested to cooperate and, in case of emergencies, Dial 1512," it said.

Central Railway's chief PRO Shivaji M Sutar said that relief trains have been moved to the accident site for early restoration. At 10: 45 pm, he informed that slow line traffic (which was suspended for safety reasons) have been re-stored.
