Three killed, 12 injured in stampede at Durga Puja pandal in Bihar's Gopalganj

In Bihar, at least three people were killed and 12 injured in a stampede during Durga Puja festivities in Gopalganj district. District Magistrate Dr. Nawal Kishore Choudhary said two women and one child died due to suffocation during the stampede.

The DM said, incident took place at around 8.30 pm near Raja Dal Durga Puja Samiti pandal in Mill



Road area. In view of Mahananavami, there was huge rush at the pandal. Initial reports say, one child fell into crowd and two women tried to rescue but they were also stucked.

This caused the stampede resulting three fatalities. All injured are undergoing treatment in Sadar Hospital Gopalganj.
