In Jammu and Kashmir, three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, including two Pakistani were eliminated by security forces in seperate encounters in North Kashmir in less than 12 hours.
Giving details, Police said, two LeT terrorists, including one from Pakistan were killed in an encounter that broke out early this morning at Chaktaras Kandi area of Kupwara district.
Earlier, another Pakistani terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba was neutralised by security forces in Baramulla district.
The gunfight broke out last evening in Panipora forest of Zaloora area in Sopore after joint team of
security forces launched a cordon and search operation following the intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Police said, as per the documents recovered at the encounter site, the slain terrorist has been identified as Hanzalla of Lahore in Pakistan. One AK rifle, five magazines along with ammunition were also recovered from his possession.
In a series of tweets, Kashmir Zone Police while quoting Inspector General of Police, Vijay Kumar said, two foreign terrorists and one local terrorist escaped from site.
